All the Best Bags from Louis Vuitton Fall 2023

What, one may ask, comprises that je ne sais quoi that French women carry on their sleeve? At the Louis Vuitton Fall 2023 showcase, the hallowed Maison tried to answer the age-old question with the season’s theme: What is French Style?

Dresses and skirts and skirts and trousers, in a colour tone dedicated to charcoal, tan, white, and black, painted the runway with must-have styles for this year. However, the highlight most definitely were the many bags that reflected the brand’s history.

Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquiere showcased patriotism in certain pieces like the GO-14 MM bag, through shades of red, blue, and white. And a delightful ‘dollhouse’ bag, complete with windows and doors and chimneys, is a replica of the house and workshop of Louis Vuitton’s founder. And then, a street-name plaque, which reads ‘1854 Louis Vuitton Paris’ finds its way on a bold, new silhouette.

The beige-and-black Alma Bag showcases two logos of the house, and already has all the makings of a collectible. And Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram makes several appearances, on shapes that feel both modern and historical at once!
