This April, The Word. Magazine celebrated the finest of summer style with DLF Malls, in Delhi NCR, with the special ‘Summer Up’ campaign that panned across three of the most stylish malls—DLF Promenade in Vasant Kunj, DLF Mall of India in Noida, and DLF Avenue in Saket. The month-long events, which featured fashion-meets-art installations, parties, and many reasons to enjoy summer’s freshest trends, was an ode to some of India’s and the world’s most coveted fashion brands.

At each of these fashion destinations, The Word. X DLF Malls presented the Mannequin March, where the latest trends from the global brands were styled on 100 mannequins. Each of these installations married style with art, as creativity came to life with the latest collections by labels like Shantanu Nikhil, Ritu Kumar, Satya Paul, Tommy Hilfiger, Brooks Brothers, Dash & Dot, Mango, Marks & Spencer, and a lot more.

In the atriums and different floors of each of these malls, clusters of mannequins were styled by Ayesha Amin Nigam, in outfits that are perfect for a summer holiday, for work, and even meetings. At DLF Promenade, larger-than-life flowers bloomed around the mannequins, while at DLF Avenue, it was jungle on sorts, with tigers and flamingoes and frogs surrounding them. And at DLF Mall of India, the theme was black and gold.

Florals return as an evergreen trend this season, with flower motifs punctuating bright saris by Ancestry and Suvasa to abstract versions on shirts. Another trend to keep your eye on is denim, from a co-ord set with distressed jeans by American Eagle to a stylish jacket with silver sequins by United Colors of Benetton. Stripes are a dominant trend, too, from the likes of Lacoste, Madison, Aarke by Ritu Kumar, Fred Perry, and more.

The afternoon sun streamed in through French windows, as friends of The Word. gathered in  summer-perfect attires and cool drinks in their hands, and delved into their futures with a special tarot card reading or got their names customised onto presents for the home.
