What Happens When Maybelline Meets Spotify? A Beauty Experience That Turns Into a Concert By Night!

Maybelline New York launched it’s cultural IP ‘Maybe It’s My Stage’ in collaboration with Spotify to turn makeup into a live music experience.

Maybelline New York hosted a makeup-meets-music experience with Spotify India in Mumbai, recently.

Makeup and music just came together in Mumbai for a very special collaboration.

Maybelline New York has teamed up with Spotify India to launch ‘MAYBE IT’S MY STAGE’, a new cultural platform that brings together two forms of self-expression we already adore: music and makeup. The initiative debuted last week with a live experience headlined by singer Nikhita Gandhi, alongside creators, beauty enthusiasts, and media.

TBH, it makes sense—if you’ve ever listened to music while getting dressed (and who hasn’t?!), you already know the combined powers of music and makeup. Perhaps you’re humming to Miley Cyrus while attempting winged eyeliner. Or an old Bollywood song while getting ready for a wedding. Whatever the soundtrack, makeup and music are the ultimate forms of self-expression.

And Maybelline New York gets that…and they’re leaning into it.

The vibe at the venue was electric, bringing together a room packed with Gen Z and millennial creators who are leading the conversations around beauty, fashion, and culture. And needless to say, they understood the assignment. The evening was highlighted by Nikhita Gandhi’s high octane act—the perfect booking, in our opinion, as Nikhita is known for constantly pushing creative boundaries while staying fiercely, unapologetically herself (which is exactly the kind of energy this collab is all about).

Of course, the makeup was still the star of the show, and the event spotlighted some of  Maybelline New York’s bestselling products, including the Super Stay Lumi Matte Foundation, Super Stay Matte Ink Lipstick, and Sky High Mascara…all of which promise to last through long commutes, late nights and, in this case, an entire concert!

In a country as diverse as India, music is the ultimate unifier, and this particular event felt  like a massive celebration of collective creativity and confidence…less like a traditional  beauty event and more like a concert with really good mascara. Mic drop, girls and boys!
